Australian Vietnam War M1 Helmet With Liner

Australian M1 Helmet, Vietnam War Era, complete with liner and original Australian chinstraps. This example retains its Australian-manufactured liner, identifiable by the characteristic NSN markings, and is named to Dowell. The rear of the shell features a distinctive white "Follow Me" stripe, while the liner has been painted red at some stage in its life.  Widely used by Australian forces during the Vietnam War, the M1 helmet became an iconic piece of Australian military equipment.
