Matching WW2 German K98 Bayonet FZE 1941

Matching WWII German K98 bayonet marked FZE 1941, manufactured by FZE (F. Herder A.S., Solingen), one of the German firms contracted to produce bayonets for the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. With matching serial numbers on both the bayonet and scabbard, this example remains in good overall condition, retaining an excellent blade and accompanied by a period frog in good condition. Designed for use with the standard German Karabiner 98k rifle, the S84/98 bayonet was the principal bayonet issued to German forces throughout the war, making matching examples such as this increasingly sought after by collectors today.
